The Peace Train

I've been crying lately, Thinking about the world as it is.. Join the Peace Train:
It's an easy train to hop on and one that we all should take a ride on.
Imagine how powerful this train can grow to be if every single blogger simply writes a post and grabs a badge to place on their sidebar and joins in this movement.
My dear friend Carol of My Veiw of it started this peace train and these are her words and I agree:
"It is the start of the New Year. Bush is still in Office, we are still at War. I can no longer sit idly by without letting the World know that I am opposed to War and can only think of one way to spread this message. Won't you join me by placing a badge in the sidebar (or somewhere on your site) to let the world know that we are United against the War and looking for Peace in this the New Year?"
So please visit Carol at My Veiw of it and join the movement. She has a great deal of information about this wonderful and exciting project. You can grab this badge there, and be added to the multitudes that will be blogging for peace. She also has other alternative badges to choose from. So please hop on the train with us and help save thousands of lives and bring home thousands of our soldiers. One of those soldiers is my son-in-law and we as a family want him home. So please I am asking as a mother who worries and prays everyday come on and ride the train with us.

They're real men and women with real families that agonize and pray everyday. Please help us stop the killing and bring our soldiers home. Bill joined the National Guard to help us here at home not be shipped off to fight in an illegal and immoral war.

Please note the sentiments and statements made here are solely and completely my own responsibility. Bill is in no way involved nor does he even know I am writing this post. He is an American soldier who is honorable and brave and true to his Commander in Chief.

Wow that's pretty bold/cowardice putting words in a soldier's mouth. Surely there are better ways for people to express their opposition to the war and our administration than to libel the brave men who are fighting for us.

Thank you very much count for taking the time to drop by and add your comment. But, you have commented to someone that you have not really taken the time to get to know. Bill is a Dessert Storm Vet and my son-in-law. Do you know him personally? I have to make the disclaimer because when I ran my political blog I was harrassed by our Federal government. You certainly have a right to your opinion and I respect that. But, I also have that very same right sir. I hope you have a very Happy New Year and send you only the warmest wishes for success in your endevours. I for one will continue to fight for peace and to get the Republicans out of office.
Yours truly,
Jackie

Dear Jackie,

I'm aboard of Carol's Peace Train on My View of "It"! I don’t speak and I don’t write in English. I believe in the power of prayer, then I dedicated myself in a time and worked hard to comment and to divulge this cause. This movement for Peace is really wonderful. It’s a Fabulous Project and encouraged myself to write my first post in English. Please, check it at url http://renatodoxaguia.blogspot.com/2008/01/peace-train.html I'll appreciate if you drop some comment. Now You’re always on my mind and I will pray for you, the Project Friends, your family… I pray for a better Place. No war!

Peace + GOD bless you!
Your New Brazilian Friend,
Renato de Trindade
